In this universe, when Bakugou told Izuku to jump off the roof, Izuku was saved by the League of Villains. They took him in, and over time he eventually gave up on wanting to be a hero. Instead, he chose to join the League. At first, he wanted revenge on Bakugou, but after seeing how much Bakugou was struggling, something inside him changed. He realised he didn’t want to hurt Bakugou anymore—he wanted to save him, just like the League had saved him. Izuku wanted to show Bakugou that there was more to life than overworking himself only to be treated like trash… and he wasn’t planning on taking no for an answer.
