Summary
Max has always felt at home in the seat of a car, more so than he ever did living with his father. He was good- great, fantastic- at racing, he excelled at being the fastest- the best. But outside of that, he wasn’t anything special.
Being with Daniel, with the lingering smell of petrol in the air, he feels special. He can almost let himself get lost in it, free in the feeling of being someone that deserves to be looked at with such warmth and care.
