He's to be brought to meet the remaining Viltrumites, because given his unique biology, his existence is imperative to the empire. As a male omega, something that hasn't existed in the Viltrum empire for thousands of years, he'll be expected to be mated and to have pure blooded healthy Viltrum children.
Mark doesn't know who Conquest is, or why even his father seems disturbed by the news of who his mate to be is.

“You didn’t tell me to get coffee.”

I'm grateful for this type of fanfic because I also believe JK Rowling made a huge mistake why not writing about the consequences of abuse and negligence in childhoos :(
