Summary
Frodo has moved into the smial at the end of Bagshot Row, but between his nightmares and the rumors of a strange monster living in Bag-End, he's not feeling too settled in. His Uncle and his strange stories about dwarves and dragons and riddles are of some comfort, but Frodo just can't shake the feeling one night that something is hiding in the shadows. Something with fangs of pure silver and eyes that could turn you to stone, something with claws like a bear and a tail like a great drake, with a roar that can shake mountains. Something that eats little faunts that stay up past their bedtime.
Oh, Mr. Baggins, what on earth have you brought into the Shire?

Winters in Erebor are surprisingly romantic now that the dwarrow are returned to their ancestral home. Bilbo, being unaware of dwarven cold-weather traditions gets tangled up in something he wasn't expecting. What's a hobbit to do when multiple dwarves he isn't interested in start gifting him strange little tokens?

Decided to write a wee ficlet based on this:
sumersprklwrites: DON’T imagine a really really angry Thorin waiting until the doors of the throne room close on whatever rude guest was just there (Let’s face it, probably elves) and then IMMEDIATELY grabbing Bilbo, pulling him into his lap, and just sitting there with his face in Bilbo’s neck until he calms down. (Bilbo just sighs and pats Thorin’s hand because he knows it’s either this or Thorin throwing insults and maybe even starting wars).
