    “I don’t understand any of this.”

    Wemmbu stared at the page in front of him. Equations covered the paper from top to bottom, numbers and symbols blending together until they resembled some ancient language rather than physics.

    Behind him, Wifies sighed. Before Wemmbu could turn around, two arms appeared on either side of him.

    Wifies leaned over his shoulder, effectively trapping him between the chair and the desk. One hand rested beside his notebook while the other reached for his pencil. His palm hovered over Wemmbu’s own hand, the difference in size annoyingly noticeable.

    Wifies Armstrong really did live up to his surname, didn’t he?

    Wemmbu suddenly became hyperaware of how close he was. Close enough to feel the warmth radiating from him. Close enough that every small movement felt amplified.

    “Let’s start here, hm?” Wifies murmured. His voice was quiet, meant only for him. The words brushed against his ear, sending an embarrassing shiver down his spine.

    Wemmbu stared at the equation Wifies was pointing at. Unfortunately, physics had abruptly become the second most difficult thing in front of him.

    He was a goner.

    With loathing.

    They hate the image.

    A voice in him had already advised.
    The voice from the horizons had already told so.

    And Wemmbu knows the image.
    He hates the image as well.

    So why do they hate him?
