Summary
As an atheist, Shen Yuan has never been really sure what’s going to be waiting for him once his immune system decides to pack its bags once and for all, leaving him to perish.
When he dies and it turns out his soul has been abducted by a chirpy transmigration SYSTEM that seems pretty set on helping him “fix” the novel he apparently has been yeeted into, Shen Yuan finds himself stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Considering he’s rather fond of not dying again — once is enough, thank you very much —, Shen Yuan is going to have to bullshit his way through life as the head disciple of Qing Jing Peak, and somehow establish himself as a respectable cultivator without giving away the fact that he’s a Gen Z-kid with absolutely no survival skills and even less common sense.
He’s going to con the hell out of this.
(In one way or another).
(He just hopes he doesn’t have to sacrifice what little is left of his dignity to keep his limbs attached to his body…)

"Why the fuck are you followin’ me, kid?” Namjoon growls, applying a little bit more pressure behind his hold on the kid’s throat. His fingers itch with the urge of squeezing more, harder. “Huh? You gonna mug me, is that it?”
“Nuh-no!” the kid chokes out, his hands flaying wildly as he clearly struggles to choose between rising them to show his palms are empty and trying to fight off Namjoon’s tight grip. “Followed— guh— your scent! ‘M like you, I swear I didn’ mean t’ hurt you!”
“My… scent?” Namjoon is so surprised he accidentally tightens his fingers around the other’s throat before releasing him with a yelp when the kid gurgles at the pressure against his windpipe. “Fuck, I’m— Christ, what?”Or, alternatively, the one where everything happens by mistake and Namjoon suffers.

Summary
When trying to transfer Shen Yuan from the real world to Proud Immortal Demon Way, the System runs into an error. The transfer is not complete.
Shen Yuan is dropped off at the foot of a mountain aware of two things: he's in the story, and the Shen Qingqiu of this world is not only aware but thinks he tried to possess his body — and he's PISSED. Shen Yuan tries to opt out and live a simple life on what locals tell him is a monster-infested mountain no one in their right mind would bother with.
Sounds like a great hiding spot!

When the Ministry informs Harry that they are coming to destroy his wand for defending himself from the dementors that attack him in Little Whinging, Harry knows there's only one path left available to him. He can survive on his own. He knows how. It won't even be that hard. And being on the run in his animagus form makes him a feel a little closer to Sirius, anyway.
At least, he thinks so, until he's picked up by a pet store, sold to a classmate, and brought right back to Hogwarts where the state of things is so bad that he's actually glad he's expelled.
