Yohan thought he had an accurate enough grasp of Kim Gaon's character. He was unshakable in his opinions, a no-nonsense, rule-abiding, strait-laced judge who, aside from some very emotional outbursts, was typically soft-spoken and mild and withdrawn in most social situations.
As far as he's concerned, Kim Gaon was socially awkward and uncomfortable with being the center of attention.
The video he had encountered that morning begged to differ.
Or: A video of Gaon singing in a music video in his college days resurfaces, and Kang Yohan doesn't know how to process. In his defense, Gaon had looked like a fumbling fawn the second attention was cast upon him, how was Yohan to have expected this?
