Summary
The girl was standing ramrod straight between the sofa and the camping chair, staring at him. He was staring, too, but he didn’t take in many details of her face at this point. There was so much… colour. How was he supposed to… What was he even looking at?

Summary
“Jackie.”
Jackie looks up from the files she’s reading on the sofa. Steven is half a pace away, a disgruntled figure, silently towering over her. His aviators are off, and he’s staring at her, eyes raw.
“Steven,” she says. “What—”
He reaches out to her chin, tips her up towards him.
Happened, she thinks, but is too stunned to sound it out, because then Steven leans down to kiss her, his mouth softly sliding over hers.

Summary
At first, Percy wasn’t mad that Annabeth had been injured. He was just mad that she hadn’t told him.
Being mad she was injured came after he realized how she got injured.
“Cutting power to an elevator you’re inside isn’t logical. It’s stupid.”
Annabeth is hurt, so naturally Percy is pissed about it. Problem is, the injury is her own damn fault—and at this point, Percy is pretty sure his girlfriend’s antics and the ensuing heart attack he’ll inevitably suffer are going to be the death of him.

Summary
He finds himself at the far end of the beach, sliding down the dunes until he’s slumped against it. He stares out at the crashing waves, watching them get angrier the longer he stares. He’d always liked Connor, but the more he thinks about what he saw, the more resentful he feels. He stays there until the sun goes down and the conch for dinner goes. He skips it. Doesn’t really have much of an appetite. When the moon is high in the sky, and everyone’s at the campfire, he makes his way back to his cabin. He goes around the back to avoid being seen - he doesn’t think he can handle conversation right now.
OR: Percy finds out about Annabeth and Connor. Handles it as well as can be expected from a teenage boy who’s death is prophesied.Series
