Summary
Starscream’s optics flick up, sharp and piercing, scanning the room for the first time.
They land on Jazz.
Jazz keeps his posture rigid, blank, obedient. He’s been under Optimus Prime’s gaze, under Prowl's, under far more respectable mechs than Starscream; he knows how to hold steady under scrutiny.
Starscream’s stare is… Different.
Calculating. Predatory. Uncomfortably sharp, like a dagger pressed under his chin.
“You.” Starscream says, pointing with the mug. “New.”
Jazz snaps a salute a half-klik faster than regulation.
“Yes, sir. Adagio, sir.”
“I didn’t ask.” Starscream sneers.

Jazz goes undercover in the decepticon ranks. He learns more about Starscream and Megatron than he'd intended.

A final pop-up appeared in the middle of them all, only containing one big emoticon smiley face, before another appeared in its place.
“Welcome to the world of the Lost Light, popular otome game from your previous life!” It read. Another screen appeared. “In your previous world, you died a few jours ago.”
“Wait, wait wait.” He blinked a couple of times. “Previous life? Died? What the frag are you talking about? What are you? Where am I?”
“I am SYSTEM. I will be your guide to exploring this new world.” SYSTEM… read? Said? “Yes. You, Hot Rod, have died in your previous life."

Hot Rod wasn't expecting to die. Much less to Optimus Prime, and much less expect to be transported to an 'otome game' he played years back. But here he was, captain of the ship, with a shiny new frame and name.
All he had to do was find his way back while keeping up "canonical appearances," whatever that meant. Surely nothing he couldn't handle, right?

Summary
Based on @glitchgh0sty's Decepticon Prowl comic on tumblr.
Jazz is a spy sent to infiltrate the Decepticons and discover the source of their mysterious "Ghost Soldiers": Mechs that have been augmented to allow the Decepticons superior tactical planning whenever one is present.
So far, all the Autobots know is that somewhere within the Decepticons base, the source of these Ghost Soldiers advanced tactics is a supercomputer they've each been connected to. Jazz's mission either to steal or destroy this source, but discovers the "super computer" in question is actually a single mech named Prowl.An extremely unhealthy Mech named Prowl.
In an effort to get closer and uncover more secrets of both Prowl and the Ghost program, Jazz signs up to become one of these soldiers himself. (Much to Prowls distress, as Jazz had been making an active effort to be kind to him.)
Now the two are bound together, as the Ghost program is actually a Nerve Sync: An advanced surveillance system allowing Prowl to receive real time sensory data from the frontlines through an augmented Ghost Soldier.
So the guy Jazz is supposed to kill/kidnap has a painful wire tap inside his body. No biggie.He's just a little tired.

Today’s story is brought to you by several days of accumulated comment exchanges led by @keferon spawner of intriguing AU’s.
The Autobots and Decepticons are at war after an Apocalypse. Some time ago, Special Agent Jazz ended up inside of a corrupted facility known as Aperture Science run by a mad AI known as Bombshell. After discovering the facility's original AI Host Prowl trapped inside a potato battery, Jazz helped reclaim the facility and restore Prowl as the heart. Still needed by the Autobots, Jazz left Aperture Science for many years, returning once more with the rest of his faction to ask for sanctuary. Having had much time to think it over (and also believing Jazz had died in the interim) Prowl cautiously welcomed the Autobots inside. Overtime, this alliance grew to be mutually beneficial. That was until Mirage, a member of Spec Ops, was afflicted with some sort of mind control virus, causing him to sabotage one of Prowls morality cores.
THAT Hal 9000 situation was dealt with by Jazz temporarily murdering Prowl and getting a backup core restored.
Since then, it's been good living for the motely crew of Autobots and actual bots.After all, they have Jazz on their side.

“Don’t call me that!” Starscream hissed, just now realizing he’d never given Bumblebee his own name. That wouldn’t do. “My given designation is Prince Starscream of Vos! Second in Command of the Decepticons!” Starscream preened. 'Soon to be Supreme Leader of the Decepticons!'
“...I’m sorry,” Bumblebee said, voice having an odd tone to it. Not the expected reaction. “Can you repeat that?”
“Are you illiterate?” Starscream sneered. “I am Prince Starscream of Vos! Sec-”
“Nope, it still sounded just as stupid as the first time you said it.”
