Laios is wrapped up in about three different blankets, making for a thick, mismatched caterpillar in the center of the bed. He can only make out his eyes and up from the opening of the wrap-up, but even despite the dimmer light due to unopened curtains, Kabru can see how red and sweaty his forehead is. A fever. But, given the sweet, cloying scent even he can smell, it’s not just that.
A few days. He’d accounted for a few days early. A few weeks early is a completely separate matter.
Or, in which an unexpected and unsafe heat leads to an outcome Kabru hadn't seen coming.

Very recognizable dots. She had not been an active shinobi for long before she married, but she remembered how terrifying the Kaguya clan had been on the battlefield. If the mother was dead… She need not ask. Butsuma would have made sure the woman could not reclaim the boy.
Tucking the tiny body against her chest, she looked up. “We will have to find a way to get rid of those dots. We can’t have anyone questioning where he is from.”
Butsuma nodded.Two days later they had the best healer in the clan carve the dots away, healing the skin underneath smooth. And the boy was named Tobirama.
