Summary
After helping his brother run away from home, Nolofinwë languishes in his parents' displeasure. Escape comes unexpectedly, however, in the form of a supervised trip under the Lady Anairë to visit Arafinwë on his birthday.
After a massive falling out with Eärwen, Anairë's determined to spend her summer herding sheep safely on the right side of the Pélori. Unfortunately, the King is of a mind to leverage her friendship with Olwë's daughter in service of his wayward sons.
Nolofinwë is ecstatic to get out from under his father. Anairë dreads seeing Eärwen again. Alqualondë, ensconced in starlight, promises a wild summer. Meanwhile, a shadow rests on the house of Finwë.
