Jason was trying to have a normal night. By normal night, he did mean tracking down and beating the crap out of some low-level drug dealer that had been selling to kids in crime alley, but that was normal to him. Relaxing even. Especially because there was no reason for him to run into any bats.
He was trying. And he was failing. Through no fault of his own. And it was all the goddamn emergency beacon’s fault.
