Ranboo is still at the nest; their own blanket laid out flat with some contents from the nest thrown in the center as they scramble in and out.
“Guys!” Tubbo shouts, and Tommy squints through the haze down at his brother as he waves at him by the door. “I’m gonna find us a ride!”
“It’s not safe!” Tommy argues. “We don’t know what’s happening!”
“I’m not going far!” Tubbo promises, rolling the mushroom aside. “We don’t have time to argue, just-!” His sentence gets cut off by a harsh cough, and Tubbo slaps his hands over his nose as smoke pours into their home.

“This is a goddamn disaster.” Peter declared miserably. At least he hadn’t thrown up his food.
“Could be worse.” MJ said across from him. Peter lifted up his head.
“Oh yeah, how?”
MJ shrugged. “They could have expelled you instead.”
Peter gaped at her. “Thanks MJ, that’s really helpful. I feel so much better now.”

The last thing Peter sees is Tony's horrified, heartbroken expression leaning over him. The guilt in his eyes is almost worse than the burning pain that's taking Peter apart piece by piece. The world starts to go dark.
There's a flash of gold and green. For one moment, he finds himself standing amongst the Guardians and others. And then darkness again. It feels like blinking; an extended period of nothingness that ends as abruptly as it begins. One moment there’s nothing, the next there’s light.
