Summary
A thousand years before Ranma Saotome was born, a woman named Sa Ran lived in the region that would come to be known as Nyuchiezu. Her sacrifice will pave the way for the path Ranma will walk, giving him new strength... and all sorts of comedic misunderstandings. When he falls into the spring she created as she drowned, his life will take a new path from the one he was originally meant for. While some of the stops on this new road will look familiar, they've been reshaped by this new element. Nothing will be quite the same.

Summary
In the days after the events of "Am I Pretty", Ranma finds himself with a strange sense of...loss. A hole inside him where something used to be...something he can't place.
Akane, meanwhile, is filled with an odd sense of guilt for her role in what happened that day. Ranma was acting abnormal, and she fixed the situation. All's well that ends well...right?
As these two grapple with these feelings, their friends analyze the behaviors and patterns on display...and very reasonably come to a very wrong conclusion.

It wasn't her fault she spent 7 years locked in her home, horrified at the thought of going outside. That was fine. She could live with that. She could do more than just live. She could be a hero. She could help people. She could save people... all without ever leaving her room. Even as her body fell apart, even as her mental health declined more and more. She could help people.
And at the end of it all, she could find love. She could find someone who would help take care of her when she couldn't take care of herself. She could find a place where she was finally safe.
It only made sense.
Every Dragon needed a Princess. And every Princess needed a Tower.
