The first time Patrick sees Jonathan again after fourteen months, he's lying in a hospital bed in the ICU.
“It came off in the explosion.” Patrick whispers, voice shaky.
Jonny stares at his left leg, eyes filled with angry tears. His thigh is littered in cuts and bruises, but he only gets about halfway down before there's nothing. He's only got one-fourth of his thigh. His leg is gone.

Summary
Clairvoyant.
A person who claims they can see spirits or ghosts, also known as mediums or psychics. Or sensitive, as Quinn Hughes had heard being used to describe him multiple times when he was younger.
It wasn’t meant to be an insult; it was just the easiest way to explain why he was claiming to see things, or people, that weren’t there. Especially when the excuse of him being a toddler didn’t pass anymore. So, it was a childhood full of hearing:
“I’m sorry. Quinn’s just a bit sensitive.”
“Quinn, you’re just being sensitive. There’s nothing there.”
Or whatever other phrasing his parents could use to explain why their oldest son was crying about seeing ghosts.

Summary
I'm a die-hard Caps fan. I've journeyed through the years of wandering in the desert and I wept with sweet relief when Ovi lifted that evasive cup to the sky, head tipped back, screaming in victory.
Anyways - as a writer, you don't maintain an obsession for 12 years without your mind creating stories and clips and scenes in your mind.
I started writing on them this fall (Yes, it took me this long to begin. I had a horrific encounter with writing RPF and yes it was hockey related, so it took me a long time to recover from the mortification. I'll share that some day when I build up the courage haha).
