Summary
What if Aziraphale and Crowley found themselves back in London, back in the bookshop, with more time together?
Crowley held his gaze, and Aziraphale drifted closer, slipping his hands into Crowley’s. Aziraphale took a steadying breath. “In the other bookshop, the one from the Book of Life, I… we talked in a way we never have before.” His mouth was dry, his nerves still raw, but he needed to get the words out. “I’d like it if we could continue that conversation. About what we each want, since it appears we have a second chance.”
Crowley swallowed hard, his eyes misting. “Aziraphale — what if this is all just an illusion, if this isn’t —”
“Hush.” Aziraphale placed two fingers over Crowley’s lips. “I’ll take whatever we have. As long as we’re together, I’m content.” He gently traced Crowley’s lower lip with his fingertips, drawing closer to his warmth.

A little indulgence in pathetic, heartbroken Crowley.
“I wasn’t always like this, you know.” Crowley takes a swig from the wine bottle he’s clutching, then tips closer to his companion. “I used to be a big deal in Hell." He settles his spine against the rough brick wall, his thin legs stretched out in front of him. Two beady, curious eyes stare back at him.
He takes another long sip from the bottle of cheap Spanish red. His eyes go unfocused, the grimy alley momentarily fading into a blur.
“I helped save the world, not so long ago,” he murmurs, letting his head fall back against the bricks. “Now I’m talking to a rat.” Crowley looks at the scrawny creature cleaning its whiskers. “No offence.”

Summary
After the disastrous kiss in the bookshop, a despondent Crowley watches as Aziraphale prepares to leave Earth. It all seems hopeless until something strange happens — time freezes, and they suddenly find themselves transported to a mysterious hotel room in a forgotten corner of the universe.
Alone together with complete privacy and an endlessly stocked minibar, they now have 24 hours, 3 rooms, and 1 bed to work out everything that’s been smouldering between them for 6,000 years.

Crowley's appetite is now whet, a hunger for a deeper taste aching in his empty gut, starvation eating into his bones. He wants to quench this need, fill his mouth with warm and pulsing skin, savour the salt and tang of desire, consume the gasps of newly discovered pleasure, wrap his hands around pliant, willing flesh… He wants with the weight of ages.
