Summary
After a car accident leaves Tim in a two-week coma, he wakes up with no memory of the past four years — mentally stuck back when Lucy was still just his rookie.
Meanwhile Lucy is forced to grieve a relationship that technically still exists… but only for her. Torn between giving him space and holding onto hope, she watches the man she loves treat and look at her like a stranger.
But Tim slowly realizes that even without the memories, something in him still feels drawn to her.

Tim loses his memory from season five to season two. For Lucy they are in a relationship, living together. For Tim, they are T.O and boot again.

“You should’ve taken the bribe, Sergeant; started a new life,” Everett says.
Tim stares him down. “There’s no way that ever would’ve happened,” he says plainly. He won’t ever throw away his integrity like that, no matter the cost.
“I don't need that kind of money. I don't even want it,” he had told Everett during the arrest, and he hasn’t changed his mind on that. “Maintaining my integrity? That's priceless.”
“This mistake will come back to haunt you,” he had responded. “You have my word on that.”
“In that case,” Everett responds, smiling eerily, “You really should’ve just gone to jail.”

Summary
After a devastating car accident leaves their best friends dead, Tim and Lucy are blindsided by the one thing they never saw coming, guardianship of a four-year-old boy and his baby sister.
They can barely stand to be in the same room after their breakup.
Now they have to co-parent?
Tim broke Lucy’s heart because he thought she deserved better than him. Lucy is trying to move on from the man who swore he loved her and then walked away. But grief doesn’t wait for clean endings, and neither do diapers, preschool pickups, or 3 a.m. nightmares.
Jack and Emmy need a family.
And somewhere between schedules, half assembled cribs, and the quiet moments neither of them expected, Tim and Lucy have to decide if what they had is truly over… or if this is the beginning of something they were always meant to fight for.
(Or based on the movie Life as we know it, set in S6E10, Tim just promised Lucy small doses, and now Wesley and Angela are gone, leaving Jack and Emmy to Tim and Lucy to raise.)
