Summary
Kara’s eyes widen as she watches Lena chant something else and the yellow ochre aura grows, mirrored in the thin ring that rims Lena’s irises.
Neither of them move. They can only stare in awe and slight disbelief at the light pulsing in Lena’s steadied palm. The physical manifestation of her magic, so stable and powerful and tangible leaves Lena stunned. She laughs, a little breathless and still a bit shocked but she’s happy too.
“See?” Kara whispers directly into Lena’s ear. “It’s always been inside you.”
OR
Kara is struggling with being back. Lena is struggling to make sense of her new gift. Turns out they are the answer to each other’s problems.

Summary
Alternate ending for 3x09.
Lena just left her office with James and wants to talk to Kara. She is about to head out when she sees Supergirl fighting Reign. Her worst nightmare comes true when she sees how Supergirl is thrown into concrete right in front of her. Lena rushes to help Supergirl but is forced to face the truth that has been in front of her all this time.
( Or, Lena finds Supergirl defeated on the ground after a battle with Reign and is the first to help her. When Supergirl is hurt she is forced to face the truth about Supergirls identity. Things get mixed up and Lena has to face her feelings once and for all.)

Summary
Each morning, there is a routine, wake up, coffee, work, food, sleep, never in that order, never those same things, but work is there, always. When the entire multiverse is blow up and put back together, a death, the second death really, of a bother, friends gone, family gone, nothing but work, utterly alone, ones mind might start to see things, real or not. Lena might start seeing a superhero, a friend, everywhere.
It's in the corners, shadows, rooftops, boxes neatly packed away in a mindscape, in the fractures of her reality, those fracture, the tricks the eyes play, they become the true reality.
Piecing the fractured bits together, letting the shadows become light, allowing corners to become open rooms. That's the challenge.

“Are you Lena?”
The girl jolted in her spot on the sofa, hugging the bear closer to her chest. “Yes.”
Even though Kara had known it from the second she had laid eyes on the child, the confirmation still managed to take her by surprise.
“Who are you?” Lena asked, trying to sound as confident as she could.
“Oh, my name’s Kara.” Kara replied warmly, taking a step forward, eager to move closer to offer reassurance before halting the second she saw the younger version of her once best friend flinch. “It’s okay,” Kara quickly soothed, “It’s okay. I won’t hurt you.”
Lena peered over the top of her bear’s fuzzy head, “Promise?”
Kara knelt down and smiled brightly, “Promise.”or
Following Lex’s defeat, Kara and Lena are struggling to rebuild their friendship and let go of the hurt caused on both sides when Kara and Lena work together to help an alien return home. To show their gratitude for being saved the alien provides the two of them a chance to close the rift still between them. How? By getting them to meet each other's younger selves.

‘I’m getting married,’ Lena breathes emphatically, entreatingly, and her attention snaps to like a band pulled taut. She watches with increasingly disaffected pliancy as Lena seizes both her hands in one of her own and flashes her left at her, right under her nose. ‘Say something,’ Lena laughs, a little too breathless, a little too conscious. ‘You’re making me nervous.’
Don’t, she thinks she could’ve said, and the vehemence of the very thought startles her. Why? is a little better, syntactically, in theory—less cruel, an open question, room for conversation. Really? is enthusiastic, breakwater, appropriate, adequate.
‘Oh, god,’ she says instead.

Summary
Of all the possibilities that ran through the blonde’s head of who might be, Kara couldn’t say she was prepared for what she encountered once she opened the door: a very beautiful, and very pregnant, brunette with amazing emerald eyes and a jaw that could cut glass.
Kara was so mesmerized her brain kind of forgot how to make a phrase or a somewhat acceptable greeting so she just stood in silence for a few seconds.
“Uh… hi.” The brunette started. “I’m Lena from apartment 8B,” she tilted her head to the side, signaling the door at the other end of the short hallway, “and I know that what I’m about to say it’s weird and probably inappropriate since we don’t know each other but I smelled whatever you’re cooking all the way to my apartment and this little one,” she gave a quick glance to her baby bump, “started kicking and I was wondering if you could give me a little bit of whatever food you're making or... something…” she ended her ramble.
AKA Kara is cooking, Lena smells it all the way to her apartment and goes to ask her neighbor for some food because #pregnancycraves

“No, no, no,” Lena mumbled, icy fear sliding down her spine and coiling in her stomach as a jolt of panic ran through her. “That can’t be correct. It must be a contaminated sample.”
Scrambling for a sealed test tube waiting on a rack, Lena opened a metal drawer and rummaged through the neatly arranged medical supplies to pull out another packaged needle. Making a tourniquet around her left arm, Lena sat down on a stool and eyed the pale skin at the crook of her elbow, threaded through with bluish-green veins, and tore the needle open with her teeth.
“Miss Luthor, the sample is not contaminated. Results show increased blood volume, and physical symptoms of your illness coincide with early gestational symptoms of pregnancy. By my calculations, you should be six-”
“I’m not pregnant,” Lena snapped, her voice breaking as she shot to her feet, needle clutched in her hand and tourniquet slowing the blood supply to her left arm. “It’s- it’s indicative of a uterine infection, or a- a tumour. Ovarian cancer. But I am not pregnant. It would have to be an immaculate conception.”

Water fell in an even, rhythmic pattern, echoing across cobblestones. A shallow puddle gathered in the low corner of a damp dungeon. Chill seeped from the cracks in the walls and floor.
Chains clinked gently across stone, and an occasional draw of haggard breath pushed through the silence. A woman was on her feet, barely, knees bent and head hanging, hands manacled above her head. She was gripping and releasing the chains in time to the drips, trying to keep blood flowing through her aching arms and shoulders. She inhaled and exhaled slowly, dry tongue occasionally darting out onto dry lips. Blonde hair hung down, framing her face, sticking to her neck.
Kara Zor-El, princess of Krypton, was a prisoner – and she was scheduled to become a martyr.

In that time, Lena has just—stopped working. Her CPU has crashed and burned and flung itself off a fucking mountain cliff but the memory unit is somehow still intact and she just Can Not seem to forget.
And she’s tried, okay? Tried drowning herself in work, tried her luck at yoga, even ramped up her already high alcohol intake. Tried every trick in the book that would get her to stop thinking about Kar—no, she doesn’t even know a Kara anymore. About Supergirl.
(All those, even altogether, worked maybe barely.)
Or: Kara lies to Lena, Lena lies to Kara, Lena lies to herself and Kara really just wants it all to stop so she can have her Lena back.
