Summary
After he killed Harry Potter, Voldemort unleashed a poisonous fog over the world, almost wiping out the entire population and driving the survivors underground. Seven years later, now established at Hogwarts, his Empire is growing stronger and deadlier every year. Death Eaters roam the deserted cities to capture surviving mudbloods and muggles, throwing them into the Empire’s wandless and violent tournament called Numberland. Summary
It's almost 8 years since The Battle of Hogwarts and Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy are married... to other people. Having both pushed the trauma of the wizarding war behind them, they are both looking to rebuild their lives and create new legacies. Hermione is steadily climbing the ranks of the Ministry of Magic under Kinglsey Shacklebolt while Draco Malfoy, in need of a chance to redeem his spirit and name, takes a job in the Shacklebolt administration.
Working closely together, Draco and Hermione create a bond they never knew they needed. Both of them are in loveless marriages with people who don't meet their emotional, physical, or intellectual needs and slowly, they realize they can't fight the magnetic force that keeps pulling them together.
