Buck sighed, picking at the label of his beer. “Do you ever think about your soulmate?”
Eddie’s brow furrowed. “Not very often. Do you?”
Buck chuckled humorlessly. “More than I can say, really.”
Eddie just stared back in confusion.
Buck leaned forward, setting his beer on the coffee table. “Look. I have something to tell you, and I… I don’t want to freak you out, or-or for you to be angry.” His hands were waving around nervously, and he was avoiding meeting Eddie’s gaze.
Eddie watched in concern. “Buck, what is going on?”
"It might be easier to just show you.” With that, Buck stood up and unceremoniously unzipped his jeans, ignoring Eddie’s “Wait, Buck—” as he pulled them down to just above his knees. He hiked the hem of his boxer briefs up just a little on his right leg and pointed to the small mark on the inside of his thigh, the mark that he saw every day, knowing that Eddie had a matching one.

"They went back to work in silence until Eddie looked back over to where Buck was standing. He clenched his jaw as he watched a young woman, probably no more than 25, giggle at something Buck said and then swipe her finger playfully through a streak of soap that had collected on his chest.
“Oh come on,” Eddie groaned, motioning over to the display that looked more like the opening to a cheesy porno than it did a family friendly charity car wash in downtown LA."
Or, Buck is the biggest hit at the 118 charity car wash. Eddie definitely doesn't have any feelings about that. None at all...
