The farmer hasn't been found in a few days, then a few weeks, a month... A year. Everyone who knew Pots Gardener the local farmer was worried about him obviously, but life had to go on right?
His partner grieved, his child left to be raised only by them. And his friends had to remember each time they went to their usual hang outs that the grumpy Brit was not infact standing a few meters beside them, ready to make another blunt but witty comment, or something unintentionally silly that made them laugh. No moral lessons he'd add in that his gramps taught him.

Summary
Jack hasn't really been himself for 2 hundred years since a dangerous spell had removed his ability to feel fear, but hey, atleast now he doesn't have to worry about that "king of nightmares" guy anymore right?
Course, being mistreated for 300 years and with no fear to hold him back jack develops a fighting spirit as his anger toward a system that failed him fuels him to stand up for himself.
On the other side of things the gaurdians are struggling to fight off pitch with no supposed hope left. That is until the troubled teen is pushed into their lives for his supposed immunity to the very man they're trying to stop.

Summary
“Where are you going, Mob?” That familiar voice lacked its usual chipper tone.
Mob didn’t reply- partly because of spite, and partly because he didn’t trust himself to speak without his voice breaking. He continued to the door and stepped into his boots.
“Mob.”
Mob’s hand found the doorknob and twisted it. It didn’t budge. His brows furrowed, and his shoulders slowly slumped forward until his forehead pressed against the wood.
“Verity, open the door.” Just like he thought, his voice came out quiet, unstable with emotion. There was a pause. Verity’s smile never changed.
“It’s nighttime. There may be monsters nearby.”
Mob scoffed. “I know it’s night, Verity, just- open the damn door.” His fingers tightened around the knob, wiggling it impatiently.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Verity spoke slowly.
“Well, I appreciate the input,” Mob replied, still witty even when distressed. “Open it.”
