This takes the "wrong boy-who-lived" trope and actually does something with it. Instead of being just edgy it dives deeper into the psychological states of the characters and has reasonable explanations for why the characters do the things they do and end up as who they are.
There's no unreasonable bashing of the Potter's either, just very impactful mistakes made that bring disastrous consequences for everyone involved.
And beautifully written on top of it. -

Great fic. Takes a deep dive into the medical side of the potterverse. The story actually takes its time to focus solely on the development of Draco's character before Harry and the others even show up and the characters don't feel ooc.

Devastating. I wasn't ready. The atmosphere is insane in this story.
Highly recommend, since reading this fic for the first time I regularly get the urge to just drive somewhere away from humanity because it made it sound so goddamn romantic and peaceful. -

Born to a drug addicted mother, and never having known his father, he grew up taking care of himself. When his mom had more kids, things were bound to fall apart.
After he and his younger brothers were taken away, Chan found out he had MORE siblings.
Now an adult, he realized he was the only one who could take care of all these kids.
It wasn't going to be easy, but he knew that somehow it was going to be worth it.
What he didn't anticipate is just how much guidance and discipline kids need.Series

Say what you will about real-person fanfics, it has its problems and isn't everyones cup of tea, but if you're looking for the least offensive version of, I'd say this is a great contender.
The "characters"/setting are/is obviously far from reality so it's actually quite easy to read as a completely seperate story.
Super cute storyline, dynamics and dialogues with some very good life lessons sprinkled in between. I can honestly say this is one of my favourites for how wholesome it is and I highly recommend it if you've got the time on your hands.
