Summary
John would often wonder if Sherlock was picking up on his attraction to him. If he was, he was hiding it so well. Then again, maybe if he was anywhere near as good at deduction as Sherlock was, maybe it really was blatantly obvious.
Damn him, the man who could read most everyone else but was unable to be read in turn.
And maybe it was for the best. Sherlock was a sociopath after all and not one to care about romance whatsoever. John knew this. It probably wasn’t even worth telling him how he felt, only to get shot down.
