Victor Gideon was dead, Zeno was in pieces and the last ghosts of Umbrella was burning to the ground. Leon stepped out of his car and looked at his front door where the porch light was shining like a beacon in the dark, a sign that his husband was home and up waiting for him. The surge of love and affection that ran through him nearly made him stagger. He had missed Chris so much during his entire journey, never knowing if the kiss he gave him the day before when he and Piers went running off after another lead on a cure for was going to be their last.
Or: Leon comes home and shows Chris just how much he missed him.

It’s been three months since Soap found Alone and the science team that Price had working on a cure was going well. They didn’t have an answer yet, but they swore that they were close and it would only be a few more weeks before they were ready to start animal testing before moving onto (in)human trials, and then finally Alone himself.

Summary
There was no cause for it that he could discern, no reason for the feeling of dread that wouldn’t go away. The feeling lingered throughout the shower, breakfast, and all the way to seeing Ghost off at the airstrip. He chalked it up as his usual worry for Ghost whenever he had to go off without Soap there to watch his back and did his best to ignore and forget about it.
Had he known that would be the last time he saw Ghost for almost a year he would never have let him get on that plane.

One day you were fine and the next The Fall struck. Between one moment and the next someone went from living a perfectly ordinary life to their feathers going completely black and falling into a comatose state that they never woke up from.
And then someone was brought back.
For the most part people saw Rapture, and Telecus itself as the answer to one of life’s biggest problems and were thankful for it.
Looking down at where Simon lay still on his bed, his once beautiful pure white wings the color of the darkest night, Soap was one of them.

It, like everything else in Ghost’s life, started with pain.
Not the overwhelming agony that coated his dreams, but low and insistent; impossible to ignore but not bad enough to fully complain about. He would liken it to a bruise that wouldn’t fade, or the ache of a new tooth growing in; which was apt seeing as it was his mouth that was hurting.

Summary
Roger can’t say for sure when the changes started, or what even set them off in the first place, but Buggy had begun to make himself…smaller. Quieter. There were some days that, unless Roger actively searched him out, he wouldn’t see Buggy once.
Or, Roger has noticed a strange shift in how Buggy-and by extension, Shanks-has been acting for the past few months. He figures it's about time he got to the bottom of it.

Karai Bari was supposed to be safe. Safe and secure and free of overdramatic idiots. Hence why Buggy felt he was very much entitled to his reaction when he saw the World's Greatest Swordsman lounging in his tent.
"How the flashy fuck did you find me here?" Buggy screeched, keeping himself from coming apart just through sheer muscle memory alone. He had not been expecting Mihawk anytime soon - or ever preferably -, especially since he had gone to great lengths to hide exactly what island he had holed up on.
But nooo, he returned to his office and just had to find the swordsman sitting at his desk pretty as you please, sipping the only drink Buggy had around. Which wasn't even half-bad, making the clown pirate quite irate that half the bottle was already gone.
"I asked Shanks." Mihawk answered.
He asked. He asked Shanks. Buggy was going to strangle his dumbass brother. What the flashy fuck? He barely managed to get rid of Crocodile, his soulmate more awkward than Buggy had ever seen him in his life, switching between being his usual antagonistic self and almost praising him, and just when the pirate clown thought he was flashy fine his brother outed his location to Mihawk.
