Summary
Shen Qingqiu shifts slightly under the weight of the gazes on him. It, admittedly, does look really bad—he understands that, he does. Really, he has no idea how he’s going to get out of this one.
The arm holding him in place around his waist loosens and the hand in front of his mouth, holding a small biscuit to his lips in an interrupted coaxing-attempt, lowers just a little. The scene is frozen for a moment, not a single person in the room daring to so much as breathe.
Or
Shen Qingqiu gets caught in a slightly awkward situation with a certain demon lord he definitely did Not tell the rest of the sect about, and questions need to be answered.

Summary
“I didn’t know Shixiong was so selfless,” Mu Qingfang replies, with the faintest hint of sass in his tone, “as to ignore his own declining health in favor of the masses, which this one’s disciples are more than capable of taking care of.”
Shen Qingqiu purses his lips but says no more. Mu Qingfang reaches for his wrist, and he wordlessly provides it.
After a moment, a soft sigh falls from the physician’s lips.
“How long has it been since Liu-shixiong cleared your meridians?” he asks.

Summary
It’s two weeks later that the first change happens.
A disciple nicks themself on their sword while messing around and Shen Qingqiu has to make an embarrassing retreat. He finds himself on Qian Cao within minutes, hand over his mouth and nauseated by the way his attention had snapped to the cut, nearly salivating as the rich scent of iron wafted towards him. Mu Qingfang’s face is grim when he sees him, pupils dilated and nails digging into his cheek.
Mu Qingfang offers him options, should the changes continue and evolve.

Shen Qingqiu gets bit by a small group of Vampire Bats that turn people into vampires with their bite, and as a result, Jinlan City goes a little bit differently.

Upon the stage, the crowd inside the temple comes to life, terrified and frantic and panicking. In the center, strapped down atop an altar with white cloth lays an achingly familiar man in a similar, yet different, panic of his own. The attention of the Heavenly crowd, however, is more heavily focused on the man draped in white beside the altar, his face obscured by a mask.
