The priests said either I'd get better or I'd be dumb like that for the rest of my life. I guess I was just lucky enough to get stuck with 'dumb'."
"But your thoughts are clear enough. So I'd say not very dumb at all." A few beats of pause. "It was cruel of them to tell you that."
"Yeah, well what would they care? Didn't have any parents, and I was born with a weak heart, so I'm going to die young anyway. My life was never worth anything to anyone."
"Well its worth something to me. Your life could very well be the key to saving mine, so I'm grateful, for the very fact that you exist at all. I can't do this without you."
