He looked down the hallway behind him.
Red, glowing eyes blinked at him in the distance. Accompanied by a slow, thundering beat that may have been his heart, the red eyes grew from pinpricks to dots, approaching him at breakneck speed from down the mile-long hallway. A sound echoed as it approached.

He stood there, paralyzed like a deer caught by a predator, when a cold hand suddenly grabbed him and forced him into a sprint away from the red-eyed Queen. He looked up with dazed, bleary eyes.
