“If there is no Jack Frost then there is no snow.” Maxwell glanced down at the winter staff in his hold. “I control the cold now.”
“No! You can’t do that! You are messing with the forces of nature!” Wilson struggled in the net, desperately trying to break free.
“Oh, but I can, little frost.” Maxwell chuckled.
He glanced back at Wilson. He gripped the boy’s face through the net. His hold tightened enough for the boy to feel his fingernails through his cheeks. He forced Wilson closer, their faces mere inches away. He flashed Wilson a wide eerie grin, causing the boy to whimper in fear.
“The reign of Jack Frost will end with you.”
