Summary
It's clear, now. Has been for a week, at least to Sonic, how they both feel... kind of. Their first kiss may have been something he started, but Shadow was the one who really prompted it, threw out the, "I want you to kiss me," line after nearly a minute of his own stumbling. Sure, Shads had vanished into thin air right after what was honestly a relatively chaste kiss, and sure, things had gotten in the way of anything further pretty quick (ie The Problems), but... it was nice.
Sonic finally has a chance, though. To talk about it. To bring it up and clear up what they both really want out of this and maybe get another kiss. Tonight's battle with the Egg army has left him sore, sure, but Rouge said Shadow could take him to their place for some rest and that she would handle clean up, so maybe... he has a chance. To talk, for once, about the important stuff. Will he actually take it?
Oh, Chaos, no.
