After all is said and done, Soundwave /should/ feel a measure a relief now that his life of war is over. But even in the quiet goings on of his day-to-day life in New Iacon, he can't seem to stop thinking about certain things the war ruined. Things that he himself helped ruin.
He also can't help thinking that he might be able to fix a few of these things. Knowing Starscream, though, it wasn't going to be easy.
Considering his hand in it all? Soundwave supposed that was only fair.
