    Summary

It was strange. Ren was still technically in his castle in the Feywild, yet he seemed to follow around Martyn wherever he went, keeping an eye on him as he pleased. A more tangible kind of scrying. He spoke to Martyn often, but so far, he only ever made himself visible when Martyn was alone. He was present enough to observe all of Martyn’s surroundings, at least.

“It’s a battleaxe, not a common hatchet. It should do battleaxe things. Like slicing monsters’ heads off! Not chopping firewood!”

…and present enough to judge him for doing campsite chores with his fancy pact weapon.

Well, it was hardly the worst thing a patron had done to him.

TL;DR - After making it out of the Feywild, Martyn adjusts to having Ren as a warlock patron.

    Summary

It was probably not a smart thing to backtalk a faerie king– one who could very well be one of the Archfey, especially powerful overlords of the Feywild. But Martyn wasn’t thinking correctly. For one, he was exhausted after getting shoved through a gate to the Feywild, chased through the woods, and arrested by faeries for no good reason, so his judgment wasn’t quite in check.

Mercifully, the king—Ren, wasn’t that his name?—didn’t look angry. He raised a brow and his lips twitched into a smile. He just looked curious.

“What can I call you?” he asked.

TL;DR - Martyn is a warlock mercenary who stumbles through a gate to the Plane of Faerie, and accidentally indebts himself to the local Archfey lord, King Ren. Shenanigans ensue.

    Summary

“Changes things, doesn’t it? What could he have done, Seeker, if he’d lived? I guess we’ll never know.”

Hawke braced himself and pushed the door open. The words were hoarse and scratchy from his throat, his vocal chords long since damaged.

“She didn’t kill me. Although most days, I wish she had.”

The City of Kirkwall needed a Champion but as the crisis escalated, Garrett Hawke disappeared. Some whispered foul play, some whispered cowardice. No-one, not even his best friends, knew the truth.

With the Mage Rebellion in full swing and the Nevarran Accord shattered, Cassandra Pentaghast turned her eyes on the City of Chains and its missing hero. But the man she found at the end of her pursuit was hardly recognisable as the man he’d been - and certainly not able to lead the Inquisition.

Except, with that mark in his hand, he’s the only one who can.

    Summary

Hawke, symbol of mage resistance and the reason Corypheus walked free, probably shouldn’t have walked into Skyhold expecting a warm welcome. He had been warned, after all, that the Inquisition might not be entirely friendly. They were tied to the Chantry and headed up by a man calling himself the Herald of Andraste - he should have known better.

Still, he hadn’t expected quite so many Templars. Or a prison cell.

An AU where a pro-mage Hawke and a pro-Templar Inquisitor fail to see eye-to-eye on anything, with nasty consequences.

    Summary

When Isabela returns during the sacking of Kirkwall with the Tome of Koslun, Hawke tells her to run, knowing the Qunari will demand her life as punishment for her crimes. He doesn’t expect them to demand his for allowing her to escape.

Years later, Inquisitor Lavellan survives an assassination attempt by the Qunari after the alliance falls through. Among the attackers is a human Saarebas whom Varric recognises as his old friend.

Saarebas doesn’t remember who he was before the collar was placed around his throat. But he sure recognises that crossbow.
