"This wasn't how it usually went.
Usually, Alhaitham had to go to Lambad’s to drag Kaveh home. He would tap Kaveh on the back a few times, get verbally berated for a few minutes for “interrupting his fun”, before dragging Kaveh out. Kaveh would always lean on Alhaitham as the duo would stumble home. Alhaitham would then help Kaveh into his pyjamas and tuck Kaveh into bed.
This wasn't that.
Alhaitham isn't sure how; he doesn't quite remember, but somehow this time, Kaveh managed to rope Alhaitham into drinking with him. How many glasses of wine had it been? No idea, far too many. Alhaitham was giggly and smiling while bantering with Kaveh. The music playing was great and felt nice in Alhaitham's very heavy head. Every time he stopped giggling and opened his eyes again, Kaveh's smiling face would meet his. It was wonderful. "
