Summary
Crowley’s life is fine. It’s good, even. He’s got a couple of friends (two, really), a job he likes (in an office he can’t stand), and enough acquaintances to be getting on with (his plants count, right? Surely the plants should count). So what if he goes without talking to anybody on the weekend sometimes? So what if he has to take long drives to cool off after work meetings once or twice a week?
So what if one of those long drives gets him stuck out in a storm, and the quaint little bed and breakfast he stays at overnight feels more like home than anywhere he’s been in years? And so what if spending time with the man who owns it makes his (fine and good!) life in London seem lonely and colorless by comparison? Surely that’s not enough to upend his life about. Surely Aziraphale has too much to do to entertain Crowley’s silly little midlife crisis.
Right?

Summary
Be a gamedev, they said. It’ll be fun, they said.
The lines of code glaring him in the face certainly don’t feel very fun. He’s barely gotten any sleep; he hasn’t had coffee; and it’s twenty five degrees of stupid Celsius outside. As much as Crowley likes the scorching heat, he doesn’t appreciate it nearly as much while wearing a thick jumper.
He can’t take it off, though. Not today. Not after the night he’s had.
He needs to find Aziraphale. Eden’s been burning a hole in his bag and his brain and it’s about time he confronted its author.
Crowley – just Crowley – is a programmer at a video games studio, coasting from project to project with a bare minimum of emotional investment. He gets a good paycheck, his coworkers leave him alone, and, well, the misgendering really doesn’t bother him that much. So what if he’s tired and constantly on the verge of changing his job on a whim– he’s fine. Really.
But then along comes Aziraphale, fantasy author, consulting writer and, worst of all, a kind-hearted bastard who still sees the good in people.
So maybe there is a point to it all. And maybe it’s enough to change one person’s life.

Summary
Last month I wrote a Good Omens drabble a day. This month I am going to attempt to write a 666-word short story per
dayweek, with a drabble every other day. I am following the Janeuary prompts that can be found on tumblr. The story continues through the month, so it won't be quite a disjointed as last month. Also this is a human AU in Regency-era England because I want to do the Jane Austen-inspired prompts.
