Summary
After completing the mission to save humanity, Ryland Grace and Rocky discover an abandoned station and a tiny moon whose surface is covered in blood—a forgotten corner of the galaxy devastated by the first outbreak of astrophage, remembered by its people as the Quiet Rapture. Inside a blood-filled submarine they rescue Simon, a human-like prisoner from another civilization who has spent an unimaginable length of time trapped beneath the blood ocean.
