Summary
Sherlock and James are living together at Appleton, where James has taken on the mantle of running the estate while Sherlock stays in the public eye solving cases. James is gradually introducing (the quite vanilla/sub) Sherlock to edgier sex but their halcyon existence is thrown into crisis by a blackmail attempt. These two idiots in love must attempt to negotiate their way through a potentially dangerous situation despite having very opposing views on life and sex.

Summary
It's been 17 years since they met at Oxford and they are no longer on speaking terms. Sherlock is a detective now and James is the criminal mastermind he was always destined to become and they do their best to stay out of the other's way.
That changes when Sherlock is called back to Oxford because a professor has been killed. He and James haven't been speaking for the past two years and Sherlock upon hearing the news assumes one of James' enemies has got to him. So he rides for 9 hours from London to Oxford in a storm only to find out the victim is not James.
The two are then forced to solve the case together but as the situation progresses, dark secrets are revealed and old wounds reopen, leaving Sherlock at the mercy of his worst enemy who used to be his best friend.

Summary
Sherlock and James are visiting Ireland, having faked their deaths at Reichenbach Falls and run away together. They travel round Ireland piecing together James’s murky past, two idiots in love attempting to very ineptly negotiate through their very different ideas on life and sex.
James is an angsty mess, using rough sex as a coping mechanism. Meanwhile Sherlock is dealing with his own crisis while heading unerringly in the direction of the nearest violent anti-English protesters. What could possibly go wrong?
