Summary
"Earth was slated for destruction and its people had no idea.
The alien soon to be known as Bruce, whose true name was both unpronounceable to any human tongue and slightly beyond their comprehension, was a researcher. His job was to visit planets that had been deemed nuisances and report back on the presence of sentient life. If there was none, the planet would be demolished.
Humanity was just barely missing the bar to be considered sentient by the galactic standards. This was ridiculous to Bruce because he had already learned several of their languages, learned their names for their people and their planet and their galaxy. He had traveled over the world where humans lived abundantly and seen their constructions and tools, their complex cultures and communities. All of this he had communicated to his superiors, suggesting that they loosen their rigid standards to make an obvious exception, humans weren’t even that short, and had been struck down."
Or Bruce is an unhappy researcher with a fondness for younglings. While reviewing the soon to be doomed Earth, he finds some street kids who he decides to rescue. From their perspective, this is an abduction. By an alien.

Summary
Bruce learns the easiest way to acquire a Talon is with facts and logic. How to help that Talon discover he's a boy, now that's a bit harder...

"Peter squinted. The sun glinted off the roofs of the buildings on Broadway, briefly piercing his eyes even through the tinted lenses of his mask. It was a difficult balance, making sure he could see at night and not be blinded during the day. He might have to go back to the drawing board on this model though.
Rhino roared below him, tossing a parked car through the front window of a coffee shop. The sun didn’t leave Peter’s eyes even as he reached the apex of his swing. He tilted his head, fingers releasing the strand of his web. And fell forward onto his hands and knees.
He blinked. He wasn’t falling. He wasn’t moving. But he was kneeling on the pavement staring down at a pair of hands covered in blood. He took a breath. Blinked again. The hands were wearing purple nitrile gloves and were attached to a pair of forearms that lead right up to his chest. They were his hands?"
Or... Peter Parker is minding his own business when he suddenly finds himself stuck in the body of Dick Grayson in the city of Bludhaven, NJ, a place and a person that shouldn't exist. He sure hopes that someone else isn't stuck in his own body and his New York.

On Sunday, around 1 pm, Alfred brought Bruce the phone. He was standing on the back porch, watching Jason play fetch with the dog. It was a beautiful afternoon and Jason’s smile was lighting it up even brighter.
“It’s the police, sir. They are asking for you.”
Or how Tim came to live with the family featuring Bruce trying his best, Jason being insecure, Alfred trying to balance the chaos and the Talon now known as Dick

“This isn’t the Court,” Bruce tells him, for what has to be the millionth time. “It isn’t.”
Dick is still wrapped in the blanket, clutching it close to his skin, and he looks away, pinning the ground with his gaze, until he finally meets Bruce’s eyes like he’s facing his biggest fear. He speaks hoarsely. “Where are my parents?”
“They’re —” Bruce falters. “They’re dead.”
He doesn’t react. “Was it the Court?” His voice shakes.
While fighting the Court of Owls, Bruce encounters a newly indoctrinated Talon and acquires his first child.
