Rose Larkin only meant to borrow Peter’s notebook.
Unfortunately, Peter Sutherland keeps mission notes the same way he handles sexual tension: with painful sincerity, tactical language, and absolutely no awareness of how incriminating he sounds.
Which is how Rose discovers that “R.L. smiled at me during surveillance” apparently required Peter to “reassess focus.”
And that her mouth is, officially, a recurring distraction.
Peter would like the record to show that those notes were private.
Rose would like the record to show that he should have hidden them better.
