"Oh, I forgot something back in the dorm," Yang called over her shoulder with a wave, "Just gonna go grab it."
Weiss flashed the pair a look and Blake swore she caught a smirk form as the ex-heiress turned back to her partner. Yang continued on, unperturbed by the slight interruption. Once they were in the hall, Blake cleared her throat.

“Grace how old, question?”
Grace blinks, lifting his head up from the cool metal of the lab table where he’s been nursing a headache for the last hour. Caffeine withdrawal, he thinks, having finally run out of coffee four months into their four year journey to Erid.
“Thirty—uh…” His mind blanks for a second, forgetting to calculate the four years he spent in a coma, and the still slightly patchy memories that have come back from his life. “Thirty-six, I think? Give or take a year or two.”
Or: Rocky finds out how long humans live and crashes out.

Summary
There's an off-screen scene in the book where, after Rocky heals up from his oxygen exposure injuries, he finds out that Grace left the Taumoeba samples out at room temperature like the whole time he was ill.
Rocky is pissed off enough about this that they have to get the laptop out and add multiple new vocabulary words just so he can yell at Grace properly.
This is how I imagine that conversation going.

Summary
Grace is fed up with being in bed and constantly being ordered around by his medical team.
It's been over five Earth months since the Hail Mary arrived at Erid. Thanks to the ship's extensive collection of literally every piece of human knowledge ever, the Eridians were able to help Grace, but recovery from starvation is a long road. For Grace, it helps to have his best friend and his spouse rooting for him daily and keeping him company, especially since recovery can get pretty boring. He decides he needs some fresh (dome) air, or he is going to go insane from boredom.
Or: Grace being a terrible patient.

Summary
As their journey to Erid nears its end, Grace allows himself to feel hopeful about the future. The Hail Mary has survived far longer than she was ever intended to, Rocky is practically vibrating with excitement about returning home, and Grace has more or less managed to stave off the worst effects of malnutrition. Things seem to be going well.
Until he wakes up one morning with a fever and a harsh cough and is granted a stark reminder of just how fragile his human body truly is.
