“You know,” Aziraphale said quietly, “I did see you in the cafeteria earlier. You were wearing sunglasses, but Shadwell said it was you.”
“That was you? I heard that!”
Aziraphale started to laugh. His laughter sounded like bells.
Crowley smiled too, completely involuntarily. “Gabriel’s always on me about those glasses. Says they aren’t part of the uniform. But other people get to wear glasses!”
“I do believe that’s because they need them to see.”
“So do I! Well. When the sun’s up. Can’t stand the bloody thing. Too Scottish, not used to it.”
The year is 1908.
The RMS Laetitia just left the port in Liverpool to go across the ocean to New York.
Crowley has been a seaman for years, and on the Laetitia for a couple of months. It’s not his first journey, nor will it be his last.
But when one of the officers sends him to find binoculars for the lookouts, he meets the crew’s latest addition. His name is Aziraphale.

“Ready for lunch?” Crowley drops to his knees to start unbuckling the straps on the basket as though this is something they do all the time; as though he hasn’t just effortlessly catapulted Aziraphale back in time almost fifty years.
“You remembered,” Aziraphale breathes as wonder courses through him. He mentioned something once during an awkward moment, half a century ago, and now here kneels a demon atop a picnic blanket.
“Hmm?” Crowley barely shoots him a sidelong glance as he concentrates on opening the basket.
Aziraphale’s eyes do not move from him. “You remembered,” he repeats, no less stunned. “Crowley, you really didn’t have to.”
Crowley’s hands still. Eventually, his eyes still on the basket, he murmurs, “Well, we did The Ritz, didn’t we?”

Summary
When the Bentley decides to explore life as a hellhound on the lam, Crowley and Aziraphale race from South Downs to London attempting to catch her before she attracts attention. But she already has. The demon Furfur, having no idea the Bentley is anything but an escaped Hellhound, believes apprehending her is his ticket to a promotion. Meanwhile up in Heaven, Archangels Michael and Uriel, both competing for the open Supreme Archangel position, believe capturing a loose hellhound will show leadership potential. Who will get to the Bentley first?
Really, the actual plot is a T rating (a bit of sexual innuendo). If you skip the Epilogue, which is just icing on the cake, it's a SFW fic.
