    Most people say that the dead are the best at keeping secrets.
    Izuku knows that's not true, ghosts are actually the most likely to spill your secrets.
    He’s been interacting with ghosts for his entire life, and none of them are very friendly.
    In fact they all seem to be on some sort of mission for revenge. But one day Izuku meets a ghost who doesn't want to kill anyone, he meets a ghost who wants to help people. So against his better judgment, Izuku helps the ghost achieve his dreams. And along the way, he helps himself.

    Or

    Izuku can see ghosts and Oboro is one of them. The two become an epic crime fighting duo.

    Izuku brought the makeshift bouquet back to the old grave. "Sorry you've been forgotten," he apologized, arranging the flowers to fit inside a bundle of roots sticking up that kind of looked like a skeletal hand.

    ...Which twitched. And clenched down on the flowers, digging boney fingers into the hard earth. The ground began to crack, the trees creaking and shifting before everything paused unnaturally...and then a second hand burst from the grave, bracing itself against the surface. Izuku fell back, horrified but frozen on the cold ground, unable to move as he watched a nightmare unfold with his waking eyes.

    There was a man sitting on the couch in the living room, holding the novel Izuku had abandon last night. White hair, reddish eyes, a strong jaw...He set the book aside and stood, and when he turned Izuku felt his whole body go cold. A patch of skin was missing across the man's left cheek, muscle and teeth visible. He was...it was the monster. The corpse.

    Things were looking bleak for the heroes. Society was on the verge of collapse and the villains were winning the war.

    Izuku was tired. So tired. The weight of the responsibilities he had as the current holder of One for All dragging him down. He was at his limit, burning out.

    So when his childhood hero showed up in full strength, looking young and healthy once more, Izuku was at first suspicious, then relieved, then ecstatic. All Might was back! He would fix everything—he was the symbol of peace after all.

    Everything was going to be alright now that he was here.

    ...So why did something feel so wrong?

    After giving One for All back to All Might, Izuku is taken to a safe-house for protection. Trying to find out news about the war, or even about his friends, becomes increasingly difficult as All Might continues to put new restrictions on him for his own safety.

    But that was fine, right? This was All Might! Surely he had a good reason for doing so.

    ...And yet Izuku still couldn't smother the strange feeling of unease that haunted him.
