Astarion was bored.
Since breaking free of his former master’s chains, life had become monotonous. While glad he was no longer under the bastard’s control, he hadn’t realized just how dull and repetitive freedom could be.
Most nights passed uneventfully, with hunting, swimming and eating, then he would rest during the day; repeating the same cycle over and over again.
Then a human dropped into his life and everything changed.

Summary
Astarion wants to have the powerful (and attractive) wizard, Gale on his side when he faces Cazador, but Gale has had enough of shallow sex and Astarion's defensive walls. When the bard at the tavern they're staying at fails to show, Gale maneuvers Astarion to step in to entertain the crowd in the guise of having a vampire schtick. Astarion reveals more of himself than he intends and is surprised to find acceptance and affection despite his dark past.
Starts dark but there's fluff, feels, and medium spice smut to look forward to on your way to a happy ending.

Summary
Astarion is a celebrity infamous for a failed public relationship with media mogul Cazador. He's counting on a gimmicky cooking show to help him rehabilitate his reputation and free him from Cazador's shadow. Gale is a guest chef on the cooking show trying to keep his small restaurant, Waterdeep, from going under during pandemic-era lockdowns. Hijinx ensue as one episode of filming turns into a remote connection both quickly come to rely on. But what will it take from them to finally come out from behind their screens?

Summary
Jaheira has a great idea: an adventure series with romance! Everyone absolutely loves those cheesy romance shorts on social media and those silly romances with the girl going home blah blah!
The only problem is her star player, Astarion and his soulless acting with any romantic prospect...
Until she sees him with Gale, that is...They might have found the solution to making "Baldur's Gate: Absolute Rising" after all...

"If you'd be so kind as to allow me to leave, I will be out of your very lovely hair in a moment! I am terribly sorry to have entered your territory," the startled man said as he began to drift backwards. This human was certainly one of the more intelligent ones as he knew to never turn his back on a predator. "You're quite the extraordinary and formidable being, aren't you?"
Oh? Who knew a human could have such taste…
Astarion eased only slightly at the compliments. "Extraordinary and formidable? Anything in particular catch your interest?" he replied back in a playful, haughty tone before he twirled around horizontally in the water to display his form. "Perhaps my magnificent tail fins or stripes are to your liking?"
Astarion is a lonely merman in the vast deep who stumbles upon a human who is somehow much further down than he should be. Despite his wariness of humans, his curiosity has him follow the verbose Professor Gale who teaches him more about the world above. Navigating a budding friendship can be a challenge when your new friend is so intriguing though.
