  4. Summary

Night cloaks many wonders and mysteries, yet it can also shine an unexpected light on the minds of those who spend her hours lost in thought. For our Touken Danshi this is equally as relatable, the darkness allowing for masks to come down and thoughts usually ignored to come into being. Just what does the light of the moon see, that others do not?

    Summary

Without even turning around, Flins can see the grin forming on the werewolf's face. Before he can reply, though, he feels a light bite on his nape. Not quite strong enough to leave a mark, but strong enough that Flins gasps quietly.

“Must you always bite me each time we meet?” The witch frowns, hands finally dropping to his side after deeming the potion good enough to taste.

“It's not my fault,” Varka laughs, kissing the spot where he bites before, “You are just too pretty for your own good.”

The tale of a witch and his beloved werewolf, through the good and the hurts, tangled together.

    Summary

“Don’t do that again,” Illuga whispered, his voice soft and silky amidst the golden glow of the flames, warmed up by them, sluggish and tinted with the sweet embrace of sleep. “Just, ask for help, next time.” And even quieter, uttered so achingly soft; please.

    Summary

Five times the citizens of Fontaine jumped to conclusions about Wriothesley and Neuvillette's relationship (based on a coat, a public intoxication, a mild fever, a very unintentional dinner, and a case of mistaken identity during a love confession). And one time, amidst all the speculation, they finally found their own quiet truth (which, of course, everyone somehow already suspected, but never confirmed).

    Summary

The bouquet is… modest. Which is to say: clumsy. A little wild, like it was plucked by someone who didn’t know what would match but wanted it all to mean something anyway. A riot of silvers and whites and blue-touched greens, the colors of the sea when it’s thinking of the sky. Some of the stems are uneven. The string binding them is just that—string, frayed and rough. There’s no ribbon. No note.

But the moment Neuvillette touches them, his throat tightens like the air is suddenly full of brine.

He doesn’t take them at first. He just stares. Then he looks up, as if expecting an explanation, as if he’s waiting for the punchline. But Wriothesley doesn’t give him one. He doesn’t give him anything but that half-shrug of a smile that Neuvillette is starting to learn means more than it lets on.

“For your office,” Wriothesley adds, like he’s offering a paperweight. Like it’s nothing. Like he didn’t just reach inside Neuvillette’s chest and place something warm and fragile on the altar of his ribs.

Or, Wriothesley keeps showing up with flowers and Neuvillette keeps keeping them.
