”The Narrator is silent. Stanley is perfectly still. They sit like this for a moment; it feels like he’s holding his breath. Maybe they both are. Something in the man’s expression falters, ever so slightly, and he removes his hand from inside the console, the other from the metal case, starts to cross them in front of his chest.

Stanley smiles, and there’s a mix of relief and smugness and that third damn emotion that he can’t recall well enough to identify. The man waits, sets his hand back down at the edge of the console. Carefully traces his thumb along the edge. The Narrator feels pinned under the weight of anticipation, both his and Stanley’s.
It isn’t a bad feeling, knowing he’s lost even before he says another word.”
Chapter 2.5 for Everything Machine! Today I am serving a deconstructed sex scene, because weird pseudo-sex is more interesting to me. Can't get nearly enough of it, so I guess I have to be the one cooking :3

There’s the smell of polyethylene, all around him, the vibrating hum of electricity coursing through wires that twitch against Stanley. He feels them brush his cheeks, his neck, his arms and legs, engulfing him like vines in a jungle but never once attempting to stop him.
Stanley pushes himself up against the metal casing which he thinks is another rack, rubbing his fingers against ports as everything squirms underneath him. His hand find a crevice and he shoves his fingers inside, tips rubbing against finely crafted metal.
