Low and behold, it was Lucifer, the king of Hell himself.
Looking absolutely defeated.
The king sighed to himself as he leaned against the railing, playing with his staff as he looked absolutely subdued.
Well, Vox could figure out a few reasons why.
He did, technically, ruin the kings reputation by putting him on full blast that he couldn't harm sinners. It probably also didn't help that he also trapped him in a machine that stripped him of his power, hurting him heavily in the process.
Probably..
Vox shouldn't even feel bad, I mean, how can you be the king of Hell and not hold any power over sinners? It was pathetic.
Vox continued to stare at the king through the drone, seeing him look more miserable by the second and his guilt was slowly eating at him.
Sighing, he rubbed his arm.
He really hopes he doesn't regret this.

Can a sinner and king work out there differences? Are they destined to hate each other for all eternity? Can both realize what they have for each other or will they never find out what they've been missing? Well, only fate will tell.

Summary
He had imagined for there to be blood, naked people, and maybe a sacrificial goat. In the middle of a dark, unknown forest with flames of a makeshift fire pit, blazing tall and proud.
The only sound would be the chants of the people as they danced and showed their bare flesh to the demon that would be summoned through the fire.
A crying goat would be taken in front of that same fire. Its neck, slit with a ritual dagger, adorned in jewels and made of bone. Blood from the pitiful animal would fill a crystal glass from which people would drink and use as paint to draw symbols on each other's bodies. Showing their devotion and desire for the infernal being.
That would have been a story to tell, but no.
There were no naked people.
No dancing.
No fire.
But worst of all, there was a goat.
The goat was named Vincent Whittman.

“No…” Vincent trailed off, avoiding eye contact once again. He really didn’t like being the inexperienced one.
Alastor seemed to perceive his nerves increasing at this line of questioning, and his already kind and welcoming voice noticeably softened. “Can you try something for me, darling?”
Vincent's stress is getting to him, and he turns to a paid dominant to take the edge off. Alastor is exceptional at making him fall apart, though the effect soon begins to go both ways.
How do professional boundaries hold up when one partner is experiencing true acceptance of his asexuality for the first time, and the other has found the only person to ever make him feel good enough?

The hot, humid and oppressive climate slowly eating away at his carefully curated persona of perfection, as a charming local Radio Host around him acts clueless.

Summary
Vox has given up. After what has happened to him after the cannon fiasco, he is a disgrace and is rejected by all of the denizens of Hell. Seeing himself as useless, his mind goes to a very dark place to the point of ending his own life. Alastor refuses to let that happen.
Seeing no hope in sight, Vox gives his soul to Alastor. He didn't realize that doing so may allow him to see their connection, and himself, in a whole new way.
