Summary
Billy Batson's last memories consisted of staring into Superman's eyes as his former mentor burned a hole into his skull. After that, there was nothing but horrible darkness and a voice calling out to him, one that continued to get stronger and stronger. Without any warning, he's reborn, awaking in the Rock of Eternity to find out that he never actually died, and the Regime has fallen.
He should be happy knowing that the Insurgency won, that Superman was getting the justice he deserved... but he couldn't be. Something in Billy Batson died, and even now with the help of Shazam, it was never coming back.
In a world trying to get back onto its feet, how could he be apart of it, especially knowing he was part of the reason it fell in the first place?
AKA, I'm salty that Shazam died in Injustice and this is my way of giving the middle finger.

Summary
A spell ends up separating Captain Marvel from his champion, Billy Batson
But instead of having a little billy and a big marvel, we have a little billy and an even smaller marvel
After all, despite the powers passed down by Marvel being older than Earth, he is "reborn" every time he has a new champion to accompany. So that he can always be connected with this new champion and so that he doesn't feel alone in the difficult journey that is being the champion of magic.
This means that theoretically, our Marvel was reborn less than five years ago!
Of course they can't just explain this to the Justice League, so now they're a de-aged Captain Marvel and his...brother? homeless little dude with whom he appears to have a worrying emotional dependency

Waking up every morning with deja vu was getting tiresome. Deja vu of having deja vu shouldn't even be possible, but he never did like to take the easy way out, did he? Is it possible to have memories of the past-future? It was all getting to be too much.
Ponyboy is given a second chance to fix things. Or maybe this is his third chance. Or fourth. He really needs to do better at keeping these days straight.

When he finally felt stable enough to begin the walk back into the Eastside, he picked himself up off the ground. The walk was quiet, and he found his hands growing steadier by the minute. Until the street lamps flickered. Reaching into his pocket, he came to the crushing realization that he had dropped his knife while he was running.
The growl returned. This time Johnny swore it was right in his ear. He didn’t have the energy to run away. Not again. He breathed deeply and slowly turned around. The street lamp exploded, and the sidewalk was bathed in darkness.
He didn’t even have time to scream.
