Summary
It's been 10 years since Sonic last saw Shadow, and in that decade, life had not been kind. He's stumbling through adulthood with no sense of direction or purpose, crumbling under the existential dread of aging, and to top it off, is suffering through an exhausting divorce process. Just as his whole world seems to be collapsing around him, however, an old friend returns... And might just be the lifeline he didn't realise he needed.
Now Sonic is having to navigate adulthood, heartbreak, grief and whatever these new (or maybe old) feelings are for his ex-rival. The strangest part is that Shadow seems to be the stable, emotionally competent one. What he doesn't know is that shadow is hiding a secret of his own- Ten years of feelings that he thought he'd let go of threatening to return.
This is a future-set Sonadow slow -burn where Sonic and Shadow reconnect after a decade of no contact. A mix of hurt/comfort, slice-of-life, humour, drama, fluff and spice (eventually). Themes include grief, romance, friendship, aging panic, unconditional love/care, and a flipped dynamic- Sonic is the one falling apart, and Shadow is the one who’s already healed.

Shadow's fingers prod at the bite mark on his shoulder. “Is this your idea of having fun then? Someone chewing on you like you're some kind of toy?”
[Sonic deals with everything that happened on the Death Egg by not dealing with it. At all.

Summary
Sonic is totally fine after he returns from the Death Egg and the war is over. Losing his breath and thinking the world isn't real sometimes doesn't mean he isn't fine, not that his friends would understand that. Besides, flowers usually make him feel all better, so it isn't even that bad!
Shadow catches on, though, and he's surprisingly... helpful with the flowers thing. Even when he doesn't need to be.
Now if only he'd stop acting like something is wrong. After all, Sonic is fine

Summary
Eggman thought leaving Christmas Island would be easier. But it just made things more complicated and highlighted the lengths that damn hedgehog would go to stop his plans. Sonic also picked up a new friend along the way, which just made Eggman’s days harder and yet a little more interesting all the same.
He’s done caring about the hedgehog though. He is.
