Tamaki wouldn’t deny that he had amazing friends, that wouldn’t be fair to say that at all. However, you will never catch him say that his grades are flawless, that he has a powerful quirk, nor would you ever get him to speak kindly of himself without his friends forcing him. His self-deprecation doesn’t come from a lack of gratefulness though, it all stems from a place that no one would ever guess, but that’s because he never talks about it, and that is his childhood.
