Summary
Grace is too late rescuing Rocky. When he finds the Blip-A again, Rocky is already gone, so Grace does the only thing he can think of, and he takes Taumeoba-82.5 to Erid himself. If he can't save Rocky, well, he might as well make sure his death (and his crewmates' deaths) weren't in vain.
He's sick, starving, and has no alien native to introduce him, but he's going to save Rocky's planet whatever it takes. After that... he supposes all that's left is for him to die. He's nearly out of food and Yao's gun is still tucked away safely in the Hail Mary's storage.
Fortunately for him, Adrian doesn't plan on letting their mate's best friend die so easily.

Summary
After four years of space travel, Grace and Rocky are finally approaching Erid. Grace has been working hard to learn Eridian, but two days out, disaster strikes - his keyboard is broken and Rocky is hurt.
Luckily, Grace can speak some very basic Eridian with his single set of vocal cords. Unfortunately, he sounds like a newly hatched baby Eridian when he does.

Summary
The humans threw Grace away. Grace, who worked so hard to save them, who came back for Rocky when he realized the taomoeba would eat through Rocky's ship. Grace, who gave up his chance to go home to save Erid too.
And then Rocky finds out exactly how Grace ended up in space.
They're not giving him back now. Grace will always have a place on Erid where he's beloved and cherished the way he should be, even if it takes Grace a while to believe he's worth that. Rocky may or may not have plans to fix up the Hail Mary for the trip back anyways- there were a few things they wanted to say directly to Stratt's face.

Summary
I lived with this hunger long before the Hail Mary. This is nothing new. I’m fine.
Right up until Rocky asks another question.
“When last time you touch other human person skin, question?”
Oh. Oh no. “When I… a few days after I first woke up here.”
Rocky starts to relax for a split second, but then tightens when something occurs to him.
“Grace crewmates dead when you wake up. You said this, statement. You not even know your own name, remember nothing, see dead bodies, confirm?”
I nod, because if I open my mouth I will gag.
“When last time Grace touch ALIVE human person, question.”
I swallow thickly. I don’t answer aloud because I know Rocky can hear the hitch in my breath. My stomach churns with fresh bile. He senses my vital signs tick over into stress patterns and goes very, very still again.
“Grace. When last time, question.”
I clench my jaw so hard my temples ache, and beg him with my eyes to just stop.
“Grace. Please say not when… when Evil Stratt humans put you to sleep.”
I can taste grass.
