Kaveh’s bunny tail fluffed up in surprise, his ears twitching cutely, and he excitedly grasped Alhaitham’s hands, thanking him, before jumping back and apologizing for coming so close, knowing Alhaitham didn’t like other people being touchy. Alhaitham nodded stiffly like it was no big deal, but what he really wanted to say was that he didn’t mind Kaveh at all.

They were as much a mission as they were anything else and Kakashi never failed his missions. In a village of secrets, within the miles of red tape that surrounded his brand new students, opposition was only ever a few steps away, but Kakashi wasn't worried. Team Seven always had a way of surpassing expectations. These three would be no different. Kakashi would make sure of that.
