It started with an archeological find.
The thing about living in a post-apocalyptic world is that a lot gets lost. Knowledge and history and art. An archeological find that turned up around a dozen books from the pre-quirk era? A delight, a moment, something that ended up in newspapers around the world.
There had been two novels in that find, and not only were they republished, because they were examples of pre-quirk fiction, literature teachers around the world soon began to assign them. One such literature teacher was Cementoss, the literature teacher for U.A.'s prestigious hero course.
It started with the multiverse.
Sometimes, the dead of one world are reborn into another, a world where they were previously fictional. They can remember their past life by interacting with things that remind them of it - especially the fiction that had anchored their two worlds together.
This is the story of how a literature class's assigned reading brought those memories back.
